Governor Softić's daughter employed at EP BiH, Minister Džindić's wife at the Central Bank of BiH

Getting a job in a state-owned company in BiH has been a dream for many citizens for years. It is an open secret that jobs in these companies cost at least 10,000 KM, depending on the position you want, unless, of course, you are closely connected to the current government, in which case you don't pay, but simply choose, writes the Patria news agency.

Numerous examples of increasingly evident employment of brothers, sisters, spouses, husbands, and other family members or close friends in public companies, depending on which party was in power, show that nepotism is rampant in BiH, with no end in sight.

As was previously confirmed to Patria by Elektroprivreda BiH, 60 people were employed in the first six months of this year. This company is managed by SDA and SBB cadres. In the first six months of 2016, the company hired 42 employees on an indefinite basis and 18 employees on a fixed-term basis.

As Patria has learned, the daughter of the Governor of the Central Bank of BiH, Senad Softić (SDA), recently started working at this company. At the same time, Edina Džindić, the wife of the FBiH Minister of Energy, Mining, and Industry Nermin Džindić (SBB), was hired at the Central Bank of BiH.

Although this minister is in the FBiH Government within the SBB quota, he is very close to the SDA and co-owns the company Termo Metal Resist (TMR), founded in 2008, with family members of the federal Prime Minister Fadil Novalić.

Džindić briefly headed the company Unis Pretis, from where workers "literally" expelled him because they had not been paid their earned wages. Džindić also headed Cimos Sarajevo, and Novalić was the director of Cimos TMD Ai d.o.o. Gradačac Kopar. The Slovenians fired him for abuse of position, and media reports also indicated that he could face criminal prosecution.
