Fadil Novalić's daughter resigns from FIA, keeps TMR

The daughter of Federal Prime Minister Fadil Novalić, Ada Novalić, submitted a request to terminate her employment contract at the Financial Information Agency on November 30, 2016, where she has been employed since July of this year, confirmed for Depo.ba.

Prime Minister Novalić stated that his daughter decided to resign on her own, although she possessed the education, qualifications, and competencies for the position she held.

The employment of Ada Novalić, as admitted by the director of FIA, Esad Mahmutović, was carried out "without a tender but in accordance with the law," which caused numerous public reactions. 

Prime Minister Novalić gave a, to say the least, very strange explanation for his daughter's employment at FIA.

- I knew that my daughter got a job at the Financial Information Agency. I didn't know the details because, as prime minister, due to many obligations, I hardly see my family. My eldest daughter Ada doesn't live with me. She has been independent since she graduated eight years ago and got a job. As I was informed, that employment was carried out in accordance with legal procedures, and I must admit I didn't delve too deeply into it. I was surprised by the media reports about it and understood the public's outrage, including the claims that it was not moral. These days, we discussed all of this in my family, and my daughter decided to resign on her own, although she possessed the education, qualifications, and competencies for the position she held - Novalić explained for DEPO Portal.

Ada Novalić is still listed in the court register as the director of the company TMR, founded by members of the Novalić family with the current Federal Minister of Energy, Mining, and Industry, Nermin Džindić.
