THEY SAY THERE IS NO CRIMINAL OFFENCE: The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina will not conduct an investigation against Dodik and Cvijanović

(Patria) - The Prosecutor's Office has issued orders not to conduct an investigation against Milorad Dodik and Željka Cvijanović because, in their opinion, there is no reasonable suspicion that the reported individuals committed a criminal offence.

Notification of this decision was received by the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada.

The IRGC recalls that it filed criminal reports against Milorad Dodik and Željka Cvijanović for violating the Law on Prohibition of Denial of Genocide. The reports also mention an attempt to overthrow the constitutional and legal order of Bosnia and Herzegovina and to undermine the territorial integrity, sovereignty, independence, and political and legal subjectivity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the reports, the IRGC stated that Milorad Dodik and Željka Cvijanović issued a decree according to which amendments to the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, adopted by former High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina Valentin Inzko, which criminalize the denial of genocide and other crimes adjudicated by domestic and international courts, do not apply in that entity.

The IRGC will not abandon cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and with Chief Prosecutor Kajganić, because truth and justice are on the side of the victims. The IRGC will continue the legal battle to bring all war criminals to justice and to ensure that those who deny crimes and those who protect criminals and deniers of crimes receive the punishment they deserve. There is no difference between criminals and deniers of crimes. Some criminals may and can remain unpunished, but they must never be at peace and calm.
