Kavazović and Nikšić discussed marking the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide and aid for returnees

(Patria) - The Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein ef. Kavazović, and the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, held a meeting today where they discussed several important topics of significance for society and the state.

The focus of the discussion was the organization of the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, which represents an important moment of collective memory, as well as responsibility towards the victims and their families. Furthermore, they discussed support for returnees through concrete projects and activities aimed at improving living conditions in returnee communities. In addition to the aforementioned, the current economic situation and
stability of the Federation and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina were also discussed.

The meeting was also attended by the Federal Minister for Displaced Persons and Refugees, Nerin Dizdar, who informed about the current and planned projects of the Ministry in the context of strengthening sustainable return and economic empowerment of returnee communities.

The participants of the meeting expressed their readiness for further cooperation, especially in the period of preparations for marking the anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, and in continuing joint action in the interest of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
