Kavazović and Inzko Call for Dignified Commemoration of the Srebrenica Genocide

Reisu-l-ulema Husein ef. Kavazović and High Representative for BiH Valentin Inzko met yesterday on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

On that occasion, they emphasized that it is of utmost importance that July 11, as well as all accompanying activities, pass in the best possible order, as befits such a gathering of global significance. They called on citizens to contribute to a peaceful and dignified commemoration of the anniversary of the genocide and to behave in accordance with the organizers' instructions.

Reisu-l-ulema Kavazović and High Representative Inzko agreed that the 20th anniversary primarily represents a unique opportunity to pay tribute to the victims of that tragic act, but also an opportunity to build a common better future in these areas. In this regard, they assessed that the presence of high officials from neighboring countries is of particular importance.

Reisu-l-ulema Kavazović and High Representative Valentin Inzko gave full support to the Organizing Committee for the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the genocide and to all those who are in any way involved in the realization of this important event.
