Disaster 15 kilometres from the capital: Illegal dump on fire, public health at risk

Around 6 PM, a fire broke out at an illegal dump in Krupačke Stijene, next to the main road Sarajevo - Foča, between the settlements of Vojkovići and Kijevo.

According to information from Patria, firefighters are still battling the blaze.

The situation is extremely dangerous for the wider area, given that, as we previously reported, various toxic substances are disposed of at this dump, causing pollution of water, soil and land with heavy metals and poisons.
