Katarza - a breath of fresh air on the BiH hip-hop scene

Young Sarajevo rapper Mirza Adžović, alias Katarza, is making a grand entrance onto the BiH hip-hop scene. At the end of December, his first solo album titled "Young Njegoš EP" was released, which has already sparked interest among hip-hop connoisseurs in BiH and beyond.

The songs "Amina," "Aferim," and "Nonsens" have already stood out on the album and represent something new in BiH hip-hop, and Mirza Adžović, as noted on the FM Jam website, is a breath of fresh air for the domestic scene.

Members of the FM Jam crew, Frenkie, Kontra, and Indigo, who are among the biggest names in BiH and regional hip-hop, have invited Katarza to perform at the promotion of their album "Egzil" (Exile), which will be held at the Sarajevo Youth Center in Skenderija on Saturday, February 3rd.

In addition to them, the audience in Sarajevo will also be presented with the renowned Belgrade rapper Marčelo, as well as Sarajevo rappers Stoposto and Shtuka.

- I consider the invitation from the FM Jam members to perform at their concert an acknowledgment of my work. I am very proud and happy about it, and I am grateful to them for the invitation. I will strive to present myself in the best possible way to the Sarajevo audience. I am glad that my friend Stoposto will also perform, as well as Shtuka and Marčelo - Katarza tells us.

Katarza is also the author of the music for all the songs on his album with the interesting and provocative title "Young Njegoš EP." The album cover is also unusual, resembling the covers of former folk music stars' records, which is another of Katarza's ironies, one of the characteristics of his music.

Incidentally, Katarza has also proven himself as a producer. He has produced music for BiH and Montenegrin rappers, including Kontra, Shtela, Random, and Stoposto, among others. Katarza and Stoposto released a joint album "Pruži ruku EP" (Lend a Hand EP) three years ago, for which Katarza produced all the songs.

- Stoposto and I have continued our collaboration. So, I am a guest on his new album "Svježi amidža" (Fresh Uncle), and he is on my solo album "Young Njegoš EP" - says Katarza.

This young Sarajevo rapper plans to shoot music videos for some of his songs soon.
