Kasumović: Izetbegović finances the referendum with his signature, without the IMF, Dodik would have been dismissed by now

Former Deputy Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH Fuad Kasumović, and candidate for mayor of Zenica, warned in a statement to the Patria News Agency that Bakir Izetbegović, Chairman of the BiH Presidency and SDA leader, is also responsible for holding Milorad Dodik's unconstitutional referendum on January 9th.

- What we are seeing is politics that has nothing to do with statesmanship or pro-Bosnian values. I don't understand at all how politics is conducted in such a petty manner. I warned Bakir Izetbegović that by signing the arrangement with the IMF, he would effectively be financing the referendum. Because RS had no money since August. If he hadn't humbly gone to Istočno Sarajevo, we would now have a storm of discontent in RS, possibly even the dismissal of Milorad Dodik – Kasumović stated.

This situation would have arisen, according to Kasumović, due to the inability of the RS Government to pay salaries to budget users, as well as the inability to pay pensions and social benefits.

- Everyone should do their job. Because of the policies of Izetbegović and others, you now have a referendum that is illegal. That is why the judiciary should get involved in the whole case. Although, I repeat, Izetbegović helped Dodik do what he did with his signature – Kasumović added.

We remind you that citizens in Republika Srpska are voting today on a banned referendum on the day of that entity. Polling stations in RS, 1,886 of them, opened this morning at 7 AM. Voting will also take place in Serbia, Russia, and some other European countries.
