Kasumović: According to all independent agency polls, I have an advantage over the other 9 candidates

Independent candidate for mayor of Zenica, Fuad Kasumović, held a press conference today where he stated that polls conducted by independent agencies show he has an advantage over the other nine candidates, reports the Patria News Agency. 

-I received praise from the Central Election Commission of BiH for having the most professional election campaign. Out of ten candidates for mayor, I did not enter into any conflict with any of them. I wanted to professionally conclude this campaign, but since they see they are losing the elections, SDA Zenica and self-proclaimed president Šišić, with the help of hodža Dizdarević, who is the informal leader of the party, are trying to discredit me through some bulletins.

What is good is that no one in this campaign has ever said that I am incapable or unsuitable in the sense that I cannot hold the position of mayor of Zenica. Their problem is that they are trying to put an inexperienced person in that position so that others can rule our city. Sarajevo is our capital, I respect that, as do all citizens of Zenica, but what belongs to Zenica will remain in Zenica, Kasumović said.

He added that it is symptomatic that no federal or state institution has ever had its headquarters in Zenica, which is not the case in Mostar or Tuzla.

-The people who represented Zenica only served Sarajevo and recently Kakanj. I intend to stop that. I don't want to air dirty laundry, which I certainly have when it comes to certain candidates for mayor, and I have nothing against SDA, nor against anyone. I repeat, a few people have privatized SDA Zenica, and that is simply why SDA has split in Zenica and some other cities, Kasumović added.

He says his program is the best and most professional when it comes to leading Zenica in the coming years.

-My goal is to employ young people, attract investors, and stop the economic decline of the city and our families. There have been no investments here for 12 years, and parties have become employment bureaus. We will change that, and Zenica will be ruled by the capable, not just the well-connected who have ruined everything they touched, from public companies to Čelik and other clubs, Kasumović said.

The central election rally of the independent candidate for mayor of Zenica will be held on Friday, September 30, at Alija Izetbegović Square, starting at 8 PM. Instead of spectacular fireworks and expensive concerts, Fuad Kasumović's election headquarters decided to donate the funds for humanitarian purposes and give an opportunity to quality local musicians. Mirza Šut, Haris Kulović, and the bands Little Big band and Sixpack will perform at the rally.
