Kasumović: Citizens of Zenica want me as mayor

Independent candidate for mayor of Zenica, Fuad Kasumović, guesting on N1's Pressing, called on all competent institutions to pay attention when counting votes in the upcoming local elections.

He emphasized that the citizens of Zenica are afraid of the party they elected today, reports Patria.

- There is an order to all directors of public companies that they must attend gatherings and do everything to ensure votes for SDA.

He told the citizens not to be afraid because he himself has stood up against that entire octopus.

- I am alive and I will win.

He also described a scenario for election night that he believes will happen in Zenica.

- The Executive Board of SDA convened and concluded that they are losing the elections. SDA will declare their candidate the winner between 8 PM and 9 PM, and the money they received will be distributed to members of polling stations through some channel, until they 'rig' the elections. I call for this to be controlled - said Kasumović.

When asked if he would dismiss employees if he became mayor of Zenica, Kasumović said that he would dismiss all those who are suitable and appoint capable ones, and create a new concept for hiring employees.

- I respect the state and its laws. I say that I will dismiss all those who are suitable and appoint capable ones. There are a million ways. An efficient administration needs to be created. Today, it is a party and family army. All those who will be in the parliamentary majority in the city assembly will not know who the candidates are, and they will elect them in a way that I will choose. I won't care if they are from SDA, SBB, SDP...

SDA is conducting a fierce campaign against him. They say he is not a modest citizen of Zenica, but a millionaire and a radical manipulator. Kasumović said that radical imams are propagating voting for SDA.

- That's ridiculous. Until yesterday, I was one of them and the most respected. When I decided not to obey two or three families who have privatized SDA, now I'm not good. I have nothing against SDA, but I have something against privatization. Those families manipulate everything. An imam is the president of SDA there, and he formally appointed Dr. Šišić, and that's why SDA in Zenica is divided. Half are with me, and half are with them.

I respect the Islamic Community, and that's why I won't say anything against an imam. But yesterday, the secretary of the Riyaset of IZ Zenica sent a message to all imams in the territory of Zenica to vote for SDA and listed certain people - Kasumović explained in Pressing.

- Citizens of Zenica want me as mayor - Kasumović is sure.

He points out that he has never been a member of SDA and that he has not left the party.

- They don't have me as a member, nor can they make me a member or expel me, and they say they expelled me. From Alija Izetbegović to Sulejman Tihić, no one asked for membership. A person is not any smarter if they have an SDA, DF, BPS, or any other membership card. They gave me positions because of my expertise and work - Kasumović explained.

- I have created a program and I ask citizens to keep the program and see everything I will do. The budget is my specialty, and I know what I can finance, and that's what I promised. The authorities have brought things to such a point that they will pretend there is a war just to preserve local power.

If he does not win enough votes from the citizens, he will continue with his previous work.

- I have never been involved in politics. People in SDA know that the late Tihić offered me to be the first vice-president, and I never wanted anything. I am engaged in my work and my profession. It was human to offer myself to the citizens of Zenica to implement my experience in my city. In any scenario, my job awaits me, and I am doing my job in the government - says Kasumović.
