Kasa 3: 14 locations searched, 11 people arrested

MOSTAR, (Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency today conducted an operation codenamed "Kasa 3" in the areas of Mostar, Čapljina, and Čitluk. During the operation, SIPA police officers searched 14 locations and arrested 11 individuals on suspicion of committing the criminal offense under Article 273 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, "Tax Evasion," in conjunction with criminal offenses under Article 394, "Computer Forgery," and Article 395, "Computer Fraud," SIPA announced.

"The suspects are accused of reducing their turnover and, based on that, filing false tax returns and paying less tax. During the searches, mobile phones, laptops, computer processing units, USB drives, and other devices storing certain electronic data, as well as various reports and records of turnover in catering establishments, were discovered and temporarily confiscated."

After criminal processing at SIPA premises, the arrested individuals will be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton for further proceedings. During today's operation, SIPA was assisted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.

The HNK Prosecutor's Office confirmed to Patria that searches were conducted at the following facilities and companies: Legal entity "X-Soft" LLC Mostar, Branch-Business Unit "X Mobile" Mostar, Legal entity "RSS" LLC Mostar, Caffe Pizzeria "Marinero" Mostar, Business Unit of Legal Entity "D&G LARA" LLC Mostar, "Etno Kuća" Restaurant-Tavern Čapljina, Restaurant "Charisma" Mostar, Nightclub "Bumerang" Čitluk, Restaurant "Maslina" Mostar, Restaurant "Tenis" and Night Bar Mostar, Pizzeria "Gusar" Mostar, Sport Caffe "Karting" Mostar, Restaurant Pizzeria "Santa Fee" Međugorje, Čitluk Municipality, Independent Catering Business "Goranci" Mostar.
