Karić: Damage to the monument at Kazani repaired within 24 hours

(Patria) - Two nights ago, the monument to murdered citizens of Sarajevo was desecrated at Kazani above Sarajevo. The Mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karić, announced that the monument would be cleaned in the shortest possible time, which was done.

“Damage to the monument at Kazani was repaired within 24 hours. I hope that all monuments in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which are very often targets of ill-intentioned people, will be repaired and protected with the same speed. Sarajevo respects and remembers,” Karić stated.

We remind you that it is still unknown who the vandals were who did this, nor why they did it.

“Caco lives in us. 10 br”, was written in red spray paint on the monument.

Let us remind you that 14 soldiers of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ARBiH) have so far been sentenced to prison terms ranging from 10 months to six years for crimes at Kazani.
