Cardinal Puljić: May the structure of a normal state and a society tailored to man be established as soon as possible

A traditional Christmas reception was held in the premises of the Priests' Home of the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna, attended by figures from the political, religious, cultural and public life of Bosnia and Herzegovina, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Cardinal Vinko Puljić, as host, welcomed those who responded to the invitation and thanked for all the greetings sent to him on the occasion of the most joyful Catholic holiday. He especially thanked the representatives of religious communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Reis-ul-ulema Husein ef. Kavazović, President of the Jewish Community Jakob Finci, Boris Kožemjakin, Bishop Grigorije... From the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina came Bakir Izetbegović, from the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Chairman Denis Zvizdić and Minister of Transport and Communications Ismir Jusko.

In his address to those present, he said that this gathering contributes to creating an atmosphere of trust and openness of our differences in equality.

- This year is coming to an end. We all feel the need to build a society tailored to man. So that every citizen feels safe for their identity and all human and civil rights. What to wish you at the beginning of 2017. First of all, I wish harmony and peace, good health and good cooperation. May the structure of a normal state be established as soon as possible, so that the people are satisfied not only with its establishment but also with its work. I wish that a solution to the Constitution in this country and the Election Law be reached as soon as possible, so that justice and fairness become a guarantee of security - said Cardinal Puljić.

He also wished that the state would function in all dimensions, both vertical and horizontal.

The reception was attended by the ambassadors of the USA Maureen Cormack, France Claire Bodonyi, Turkey Haldun Koc and many other guests.
