Cardinal Puljić meets with the Holy See's representative in BiH, Archbishop Pezzuto, today

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Cardinal Vinko Puljić will receive the Apostolic Nuncio to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Archbishop Luigi Pezzuto, in Sarajevo today.

The Vrhbosna Archdiocese confirmed to the Patria News Agency that Cardinal Puljić will talk with Monsignor Pezzuto today, but they could not confirm the topics of the conversation.

“Monsignor Pezzuto’s meeting with Cardinal Puljić is, like their numerous meetings so far, of an exclusively private nature and there will be no media coverage,” the office of Cardinal Puljić told Patria.

The Apostolic Nunciature in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the diplomatic representation of the Holy See in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is equivalent to an embassy.

It was previously announced that the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Milorad Dodik, might be received by Pope Francis in the Vatican by the end of the month. The Catholic Church in BiH stated that the Church is not aware of this meeting.

Associations gathering war victims in Bosnia and Herzegovina sent a letter to the Apostolic Nuncio to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Monsignor Pezzuto, in which they expressed their hope that Pope Francis will be informed of the fact that Dodik glorifies war crimes and denies genocide and other crimes committed in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the nineties.
