As Konaković announced: New Supervisory Board of ViK appointed, dismissal of Nezir Hadžić follows

The Government of Sarajevo Canton at today's session accepted the decision of the ViK Assembly to dismiss the members of the Supervisory Board of KJKP Vodovod i kanalizacija and appoint a new president and two members, reports the Patria agency. The dismissed president of the Supervisory Board is Taib Delalić, assistant to the mayor of Novi Grad municipality Semira Efendića.

This has paved the way for the dismissal of ViK director Nezir Hadžić, as announced in the previous period by the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton, Elmedin Konaković. He even stated that this dismissal "puts his political status at stake."

The accumulated problems in this company, reductions, debts, and political interests have led to clashes among assembly representatives belonging to different factions within the Sarajevo SDA.

After the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, at Konaković's proposal on July 31, dismissed three members of the ViK Assembly and appointed three new ones, this move was awaited. It is now certain that the dismissal of ViK director Hadžić will also occur.

In his public statement, he said that even after his dismissal, the problems that have been accumulating for years will not be resolved. Konaković stated in the Mreža show that talks have already been held with several "expert and brave people" who are ready to take the hot seat.

The outcome of the saga surrounding ViK and the factions within the SDA will become clear in the coming days.

At the request of numerous citizens of Sarajevo Canton who signed a petition initiated by the association Eko akcija, an extraordinary session of the Assembly on the state of water supply and ways to solve the problem will be held on September 28.
