(Patria) - The Cantonal Board of the Party for BiH of Sarajevo Canton reacted with a statement regarding the statement of the state Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, Staša Košarac, who said today: "Sarajevo is contaminated with viruses, whether political or some other".
The Cantonal Board of the Party for BiH expresses at least bewilderment at the said statement by the state minister, who is a native of Sarajevo, considering that:
- Staša Košarac clearly does not consider Sarajevo to be contaminated with any viruses when he collects approximately 6,000 KM from the BiH budget every month for performing the function of the head of the state Ministry located in the center of Sarajevo;
- Staša Košarac clearly does not consider Sarajevo to be contaminated with any viruses when the Sarajevo Canton collects and pays twice as much funds into the common treasury from VAT compared to the entire Republika Srpska;
- Staša Košarac clearly does not consider Sarajevo to be contaminated with any viruses when, visiting Sarajevo cafes and listening to rock music, which this city is proud of, he tries to secure the status of a fine city guy, which he might have been if it weren't for these viruses known only to him;
- Staša Košarac forgets that for years thousands and thousands of residents of the RS entity come to this city every morning for work, and with this statement, he only harms these citizens, because a virus as such is contagious, and with his statement, he introduces fear and unrest in those who clearly believe that Sarajevo is not and will not be contaminated with any viruses;
- Even during covid-19, Staša Košarac felt the need to attend parties in Sarajevo, despite this serious and deadly viral pandemic, which means that even then, this high-risk virus did not affect him in Sarajevo.
"An old saying goes, he who drinks water from Baščaršija once, always returns to this city, so the state minister, Staša Košarac, will surely continue to return to this city, considering that viruses and everything the state minister alluded to are not and will never be characteristics of the City of Sarajevo," emphasize the Cantonal Board of the Party for BiH.
They add that "The City of Sarajevo has a centuries-old tradition and throughout all these years it has managed to withstand various attempts to undermine Sarajevo's spirit, tradition, and multi-ethnicity," and therefore the Cantonal Board of the Party for BiH
demands that the state minister, Staša Košarac, stop insulting this city, because this city is not to blame for his president having to appear before the BiH Court.
