Cantonal Court in Zenica Refused to Order Custody for Voloder, Nikolić and Zelić

(Patria) - The Cantonal Court in Zenica rejected the proposal of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Prosecutor's Office to order custody for Marijan Nikolić, Elmedin Voloder, and Boris Zelić.

This information was confirmed to Faktor by Voloder's lawyer Nermin Vila, stating that this was an expected and the only possible decision.

"The arguments and facts of the defense were accepted, and the process will proceed legally," Vila added.

The prosecutor proposed ordering custody because there are special circumstances indicating the danger of flight and because there are special circumstances indicating that the criminal proceedings will be obstructed by influencing witnesses, it was announced today.

As a reminder, the special unit of the Federal Police Administration (FUP) searched the house of the former director of Autoceste Federacije BiH, Elmedin Voloder, in Sarajevo as part of an operational action called "Landfill" due to suspicion of committing several corrupt criminal offenses during the construction of a highway section.

The action is related to the former management of Autoceste Federacije BiH, certain malversations in the past period on the highway section near Žepče, which are related to land acquisition.
