Cantonal Ministers, Representatives, Federal Parliamentarians as List Leaders and Candidates for Municipal Councils

(Patria) - The earlier practice of political parties to nominate candidates who already hold an executive or legislative position for municipal council lists has continued in these Local Elections.

Thus, for example, the party of the Federal Minister of Internal Affairs, Ramo Isak, Snaga naroda, has nominated Arnel Isak, the current federal representative, as the list leader for the Zenica City Council.

For municipal councils in Sarajevo Canton, the list leaders and candidates are already well-known faces.

The current Minister of Higher Education of KS, Adna Mesihović, is on the ZNG-PZP list for the Novi Grad Municipal Council in the last position, while her colleague from the KS Government, the Minister of Finance, Afan Kalamujić, is a candidate for the mayor of Novo Sarajevo municipality.

On the SDP list for the Stari Grad Municipal Council, in second place, is the current Minister of Labour, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees of the KS Government, Enda Pavić-Pečenković.

For the same council, the list leader of Naša stranka is Vibor Handžić, the current representative in the KS Assembly and delegate in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament.

The list leader of Naša stranka in Novo Sarajevo is Vildana Bešlija, a representative in the KS Assembly and a delegate in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament. Miomirka Melank is also on the same list.

Their colleague Sanela Klarić is leading this party's list for the Novi Grad Municipal Council. Therefore, all four representatives of Naša stranka will lead the campaign for a lower level of government in the coming period, although they will mostly refuse the mandate if they receive it. Meanwhile, the KS Assembly will be on extended annual leave, as sessions are not expected before the elections on October 6.

The list leader of Naroda i pravde in Novo Sarajevo is the current Deputy Mayor of Sarajevo, Samir Avdić, while there are no assembly representatives or ministers from the KS Government from NIP on the lists.

The list leader of SDP in Centar is Belma Kapo, a cantonal representative and delegate in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament. Vedrana Vikić Musić, a representative, is also on the same list. On the list for the Vogošća Municipal Council, in second place, is Kristina Petrovič, the current representative and delegate in the FBiH Parliament.

Regarding the Ilidža Municipal Council, Samir Avdić, a cantonal representative, is on the SDP list.

On the Naša stranka list for the Centar Municipal Council, in the last position, is Damir Nikšić, a federal representative.
