Canton Sarajevo: New Services for Unemployed and Employers

The Public Institution Employment Service of Canton Sarajevo officially opened its Contact Center and Legal Aid project today, reports the Patria News Agency.

The goal of the call Contact Center, the first project of its kind in employment services in the region, is to maintain daily communication with service users, unemployed individuals, and employers.

By calling the Contact Center, unemployed individuals and employers will avoid unnecessary loss of time visiting the bureau, reduce transportation costs, and employees will have more time for the advisory process, which is the main idea behind establishing this user support system.

In addition to providing information to service users, the task of the Contact Center is also to resolve any problems that unemployed or employed individuals or employers face when using the Service's services.

The Contact Center is based on a toll-free line, and by calling 080 022 434, the user automatically receives a prepared response. If there is no automatic response, an operator will prepare a response as soon as possible and notify the user.

The automatic responses that users will receive include: information on the required documentation for registration at the bureau, entitlement to monetary compensation, entitlement to pension and disability insurance, entitlement to health insurance, entitlement to maternity allowance, and for employers, comprehensive information on the method and procedure for issuing work permits, as well as the method of publishing job advertisements or participating in incentive measures for active employment policies.

The project "Legal Aid" of the Public Institution "Employment Service of Canton Sarajevo" - Sarajevo is electronic communication via a section on the website www.juszzks.com, in the Legal Aid subsection. The obligation of the Service's employees is to offer professional legal advice to interested users via e-mail in the best and simplest way possible.

Employees responsible for legal aid will also point out possible courses of action - by providing guidelines and information regarding legal dilemmas, within the legal framework.

It is important to emphasize that legal advice is exclusively informative in nature and does not have binding legal force, but it is an excellent tool for better understanding certain legal areas, as well as the rights and obligations arising from them.

Given that advisors, in their work with service users, also encounter personal, social, financial, and other difficulties, at the end of last year, a modern advisory tool - e-bureau - was included in our portal.

By registering an unemployed person on e-bureau, the unemployed person can access their e-bureau account from home or any other place with an internet connection.

When an advisor registers an unemployed person, through e-bureau, they can monitor the implementation of agreed activities by viewing the unemployed person's profile, and check if the candidate's profile matches the open job positions they are aware of.

This way, close communication is established between the unemployed person and the advisor, which increases the unemployed person's chances of finding suitable employment.

The Employment Service of Canton Sarajevo has also provided employers with the opportunity to use the bureau's services in a faster and more efficient way. Namely, on our portal, they can post a company profile, advertisement, comment, and also ask a question. This online channel is also open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is also free.

The Public Institution "Employment Service of Canton Sarajevo" - Sarajevo implements these activities as part of establishing more efficient services, and it is assumed that this will centralize communication with users, improve, standardize, and speed up the provision of information.

The introduction of innovations in work practices is the direction of the reform path we chose two years ago, and it will remain a priority in the current year as well - said the director of the Public Institution Employment Service of Canton Sarajevo, Igor Kamočaji.
