Sarajevo Canton allocated 50,000 KM for earthquake-stricken cities

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - At today's session, the Government of Sarajevo Canton accepted the initiative for Sarajevo Canton to send assistance to Sisak-Moslavina County of the Republic of Croatia, in the form of financial funds in the amount of 50,000 KM, for the needs of Petrinja, Glina, and Sisak, cities hit by a devastating earthquake.

From the KS Government today, a telegram was sent to the Government of the Republic of Croatia, with words of deepest sympathy to the families of the tragically deceased citizens, as well as hope that the affected areas will soon recover from the severe consequences of this catastrophe.

The KS Government also expressed readiness to provide other forms of necessary assistance to the authorities of the Republic of Croatia, both material-technical assistance and assistance in the form of sending medical and other teams to the earthquake-affected areas.
