Canton Sarajevo without executive power: Assembly dismissed the Government after the resignation of Prime Minister Uk

(Patria) - Canton Sarajevo is without executive power as of today, after the Assembly of Canton Sarajevo, following a day-long debate, accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Nihad Uk and dismissed the KS Government.

21 deputies voted for the dismissal of the KS Government, likely from the new parliamentary majority, considering that the resignation of Prime Minister Uk occurred after the recomposition of forces in the KS Assembly.

12 deputies voted against, and one abstained.

Uk submitted his resignation on October 9th.

The Prime Minister and the resigning KS Government will perform all duties within their jurisdiction until the day the Government in the new convocation is confirmed.

The Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina announced that they will seek an assessment of the constitutionality of the dismissal of the KS Government from the Constitutional Court of BiH.
