Dr. Cerić's candidacy is good, there is no unanimity in democracy!

Mufti of Zagreb Aziz ef. Hasanović said in a statement for the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP) that he believes the candidacy of Dr. Mustafa Cerić for the Bosniak member of the Presidency in the October elections can bring progress and good to BiH.

Given the international influence that Dr. Cerić had, reminds ef. Hasanović, who is the highest religious authority in Croatia, a member of the European Union, his experience and wisdom, which he also showed during his leadership of the Islamic Community, there are reasons to be optimistic when it comes to Dr. Cerić's candidacy. He, as ef. Hasanović says, has done a lot in building Bosniakhood within BiH, which Cerić sincerely advocates for.

He dismissed the possibility of a negative impact on the Bosniak people due to Cerić's entry into politics. He said that on this stage of ideas and projects, everyone has the right to offer solutions they believe will bring progress and benefit to society.

- If someone thinks they can do better, that they should do better, that they have a solution, as Dr. Cerić presents, then such people should also be given a chance. Because democracy is not about unanimity, democracy is a marketplace of ideas, a marketplace of projects, and I see nothing wrong with his candidacy – Mufti Hasanović told Patria.

According to his words, it is possible that someone has a different opinion about the candidacy, but he reiterates that he is convinced that Dr. Cerić can bring something new and quality. 

- Knowing everything that Dr. Cerić has at his disposal, and his vast acquaintances around the world, and the needs of BiH, it is possible that he can bring certain novelties to politics itself. Perhaps someone sees further, but I personally, from this perspective, do not see otherwise – concluded the Mufti of Zagreb.
