Where to next, cousin: Izetbegović and Čović's admissions from the heart

Member of the BiH Presidency Dragan Čović admitted today that the authorities in our country are unable to agree even on the date of joint holidays, and that different views on BiH show political immaturity.

If Čović, Milorad Dodik, and Bakir Izetbegović (and of course SBB and the Alliance for Change are also involved) cannot agree on holidays, how can citizens expect them to sit down at the green table and reach a compromise solution for any other, far more important and complex issue – the economy, the fight against corruption, fulfilling the conditions for the EU and NATO?

The fact that nothing is working and that we have a government that is literally a discordant orchestra was also confirmed by another member of the BiH Presidency, Bakir Izetbegović.

He says that the leaders agree, but they do not specify what each person should do. This statement by Izetbegović is interesting.

What do they agree on if they don't specify? Does that agreement imply that over coffee and juice they say, 'Yes, we are all for adopting a law,' but then they don't specify what each of them in power should do?

Simply put, they agree for the sake of agreeing. And where to next, cousin, well, nobody knows.

And how is this country supposed to move forward, and how are citizens supposed to expect things to get better, to not live from day to day, when political leaders come out and publicly admit that they cannot agree on even the smallest of things, or worse, do not specify who will do what!

If we add to this the statement by Fahrudin Radončić, who, as a coalition partner, said that he sometimes feels like he is supporting a minority government, then even a political layman understands that something is rotten in the state of Denmark. Not since these admissions were made, but since 2014.

Isn't it logical now, as is the case in all democratic countries around the world, when politicians admit that they are incapable of working for the common good, when they admit that they are politically immature, to resign and honorably and with dignity say, 'We are not suited for these positions.'

It is logical, but in some other country.

And in Bosnia and Herzegovina?

It is logical for Čović and Izetbegović to admit, nonchalantly as if saying good day, their own helplessness and that we practically have no government working in the interest of citizens, neither in the Federation nor at the state level, and it is illogical that because of such admissions they should urgently change their way of working or resign.

Izetbegović should finally, and must, along with all the admissions he has been pouring out 'from the heart' lately, open his cards fully and tell the public who the main obstructionist is in the Federation of BiH, as well as in the state.

He should say that Čović is the biggest beneficiary of the government, and that almost everything is stalled due to his political appetites, and that the story about a European Bosnia and Herzegovina is just a nice fairy tale for small children.
