On the night between September 12 and 13, 2014, after the basketball match Serbia - France, where Serbia won and entered the finals, there were vandal attacks on the Ferhadija mosque in Banja Luka, the Islamic Community in BiH announced, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

During the incident, by persons currently unknown, the metal protective fence around the Ferhadija mosque was damaged and it was stoned with pieces of asphalt.

- Bosniaks in Banja Luka are outraged by the frequent attacks on both themselves and the property of the Islamic Community in this city, said the Majlis of the Islamic Community Banja Luka.

We remind you that the Ferhadija mosque has been under reconstruction for years, and it was demolished on May 7, 1993.
