(Patria) – The President of the Central Election Commission of BiH, Jovan Kalaba, met today with the High Representative of the international community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt.
The meeting discussed the activities that the BiH CEC is conducting as part of preparations for holding early elections for the President of Republika Srpska, scheduled for November 23, 2025.
On that occasion, Kalaba expressed concern over the fact that the Council of Ministers of BiH has not yet given its consent to the Proposal of the Rulebook on the internal organization of the CEC, which, as he pointed out, has been hindering the work of the Secretariat and the implementation of activities within the Commission's competence for a longer period.
The President of the CEC also informed Schmidt about the progress in the implementation of a multi-year project to introduce specific technologies into the electoral process in BiH.
High Representative Christian Schmidt expressed support for the Central Election Commission of BiH in its work, for which Kalaba thanked him.
