WHAT A SURPRISE HDZ supports HNS stance on joint appearance of all parties in the 2020 elections

(Patria) - The Presidency of HDZ BiH supports the unanimous stance of HNS on the joint appearance of all HNS member parties in the 2020 Local Elections. The Presidency of HDZ BiH at its expanded session held today in Orašje, discussed and analyzed the establishment of government at the levels of BiH, F BiH and Cantons.

Relations between HDZ BiH and the parties of the Croatian National Assembly were also discussed. The achieved unanimous stance of HNS on the joint appearance of all HNS member parties in the 2020 Local Elections was supported. The decision particularly applies to areas where the Croatian people are exposed due to their numbers and the possibility of being outvoted, with the exception of areas where Croats are the majority, where HNS parties will field more lists and candidates.

The HDZ Presidency also discussed internal party issues in certain areas. Along with the proposed solutions presented, it was concluded that the inner Presidency will make concrete decisions and measures in the coming days to stabilize the situation on the ground, and to engage in serious party and political action. The new Rulebook on Work and  Systematization of HDZ BiH, aligned with party needs, documents, and legal solutions, was presented to the Presidency today at the session. The marking of the 30th anniversary of HDZ BiH in
2020 was also discussed, which will be specially celebrated in all areas.

"Analyzing the conducted talks with SDA officials, regarding the holding of elections in the City of Mostar, the establishment of government in the Federation of BiH, the change in the structure of the FBiH Government, and the talks concerning amendments to the election legislation, the Presidency of HDZ BiH continues to advocate for intensive work on finding solutions for holding local elections this year in Mostar and regarding amendments to the Election Law, taking into account the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH and the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

Speaking about the transformation of the FBiH Government, the Presidency proposed the abolition of unconstitutional ministries in the Government, and proposed the formation of new ministries, as well as the separation of existing ministries with overly broad competencies.

The Presidency also commented on the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and current security challenges related to the state level, especially considering the migrant problem. Without a joint strategy and joint action, there is no quality response to this issue; competent services must present and create a unified state strategy, it was concluded at the session.

The Presidency of HDZ BiH has initiated an initiative for a joint meeting of the Presidencies of HDZ BiH and HDZ RH in the near future.
