How SNSD is Derailing Quorum in the House of Peoples: 'Well, Kemo, you will, I won't be back...'

(Patria) - Due to lack of quorum, the 17th urgent session of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA), scheduled for today, has been postponed.

The urgent session was opened by the Speaker of the House of Peoples, Nikola Špirić (SNSD), after which the anthem of Bosnia and Herzegovina was played.

Immediately after the anthem, Špirić called a 15-minute break "to try to secure a quorum", given that at that moment, delegates from HDZ and the rest of the SNSD delegates, who had also disrupted the quorum at the previous - 16th regular session - were not present in the hall.

- Given that I have a report from the service that there is no quorum to continue work, we can take a break. Fifteen minutes break and we will continue working, to try to secure a quorum. Work resumes at 4:20 PM - Špirić told the House.

Špirić's microphone remained on, which he apparently did not notice, and then addressed the Deputy Speaker, Kemal Ademović (NiP).

"Well, Kemo, you will, I won't be back...", were the words Špirić uttered before the House secretary turned off his microphone.

- Esteemed delegates, after the break, five delegates from the Bosniak Caucus returned to the hall, Miletić from the Croat Caucus, Vuković and Nešković from the Serb Caucus, thus the conditions were not met to open the 17th urgent session.

Therefore, it did not even begin, and I hope that a deadline for its holding will be set in the future - Ademović announced after the break.

The agenda of the urgent session was supposed to include, as the first three items, the dismissals of SNSD officials - Špirić, ministers Staša Košarac and Srđan Amidžić, as well as deputy ministers Aleksandar Goganović, Ognjen Janjić, and Marijana Mojić.
