How healthcare workers from BiH can get employed in Germany

The Employment Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced that the procedures for employing healthcare workers in the Federal Republic of Germany - a known employer have been changed.

Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina have the opportunity to contact an employer in the Federal Republic of Germany and thus initiate the employment procedure in that country, reports the Patria News Agency.

After contacting the employer and reaching an employment agreement, the candidate must personally or by mail submit an application and documentation to the Employment Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will forward it to the Federal Employment Agency of the Federal Republic of Germany – Central Office for International and Professional Placement (ZAV).

After reviewing the documentation, ZAV representatives will conclude a bilingual employment contract with the employer concerned and issue an employment permit, which they will send to the Employment Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Upon receipt of the aforementioned documents, representatives of the Employment Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina will invite the candidate to sign the bilingual employment contract, and finally, the responsible person from the Employment Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina will sign the contract.

The candidate will take the original documents and initiate the procedure for obtaining a residence permit/visa for work at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Sarajevo.

After obtaining the residence permit/visa, the candidate is obliged to inform the Employment Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina about it (submit a copy of the visa and information about the employment date by mail or scanned via email to [email protected]).

The application with the required documentation should be submitted BY MAIL to the following address: EMPLOYMENT SERVICE OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA, Đoke Mazalića br. 3. 71 000 Sarajevo (with the note "Application for work in the Federal Republic of Germany")

The application can be submitted IN PERSON at the premises of the Employment Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina solely in your own name.
