It was close to midnight, and the clocks almost stopped for us to enter a new day. The usually cold Latin Mladen Bošković suddenly appeared on the scene. “It’s close to midnight, what do you suggest, should we continue the session now or break, I don’t know, suggest. I propose we continue, who is for…”, said the wise Bošković almost in one breath.
In those 13 hours, the system also crashed, and Bošković counted the hands, smiled, and announced: “Based on the voting results, with 52 votes in favor, we are continuing the session.” He was not tired, nor was the question, although posed that way, related to the session. Bošković, with a simple trick, managed to check if the Trojka deputies were still on a short leash of HDZ after the barrage of appeals and criticism from the opposition.
When he realized they were, Bošković continued the session, already aware and certain that, thanks to SDP, NiP, and Naša stranka, he would successfully complete the task he had been leading for 14 months.
And they, in that Trojka formation where the wings are fake social democrats and even faker liberals, and in the middle are political refugees from SDA under the NiP banner, dare not even respond to the barrage of opposition fire from their short leash. Some among them cry, but within the realm of personal relationships.
And last night it became clear that the case of Boška Čavar was not an exception or a precedent, but the formula by which the Trojka project functions. In fact, Trojka became Boška and, despite complete ideological differences, voted for HDZ’s constitutional judge.
The Trojka members barely uttered the name Marin Vukoja, as Bošković didn't have a whip, but a look was enough to calm them and keep them under control. And whatever one thinks of that political project, the parties and deputies in it, it was probably the most pathetic and agonizing thing that politics based in Sarajevo has ever offered.
Ninety minutes later, dawn broke! For Dragan Čović and HDZ, it was the most welcome dawn before sunrise. Trojka gifted them Marin Vukoja as their party man in the Constitutional Court of BiH. And along with Vukoja, they also got FERK, Jelka Milićević, and the maximum number of cadres in working bodies and commissions.
At that moment of voting, even those who didn't believe that 20 is more than 78 could see it. Because with 20 deputies, HDZ got everything, and the state lost. Čović will pat Trojka on the back, ready for some new concession.
And the country, and the people, and the state. That was the main slogan of Narod i pravda before the General Elections, along with “Trust”. Our country is the slogan of Naši, and the Social Democratic Party sang “Let the day dawn”.
If we go through the slogans in accordance with the voting results in the House of Representatives, we will realize that NiP gifted Čović the country, the people, and the state in trust, and Naši understood it as a common country, because Naši are a well-known HDZ affiliate. And thanks to SDP’s principled stance, it dawned for Čović in the darkness of the night. The darkest night for the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina since its renewed independence!
However, darkness fell upon the state. A darkness heavier than the uncertainty and apprehension felt by every participant and observer of yesterday’s session of the House of Representatives of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Because the Constitutional Court of BiH will, in the foreseeable future, be under the absolute control of Dragan Čović and Milorad Dodik for decades to come.
Because Čović now has two people who will last in the Constitutional Court. Dodik is experienced enough to sniff out an opportunity, so it is certain that he will soon send his two as well, with a term of two decades. We must not forget that this same House of Representatives will elect another judge in the foreseeable future. And there is no doubt that Čović will tighten the reins again. It is then clear that in the next year at most, we will have three judges under HDZ’s control in the Constitutional Court of BiH, two from Dodik, and three foreigners. But these from Čović and Dodik will be enough to pass everything that Serb-Croat politics desires. Perhaps this is the moment Dodik has long been announcing.
Reading the nonsense that Nermin Nikšić spread this morning and listening to the foolishness of Elmedin Konaković and Edin Forto, we can conclude beyond any reasonable doubt that they were projected and imposed because they are absolute political simpletons, who understand complex political processes at the level of a high school student. And that, from the first grade.
Because only such Nikšić, Konaković, and Forto believe that Dragan Čović, who publicly says “we want a third entity,” will not use Vukoja to get what he wants. And by a third entity, he means an ethno-territorial unit (a Croatian republic entity), legitimate representation, and the absolute ethnic division of the state. That is, the creation of three administrative units with elements of statehood and key attributes to one day turn Bosnia and Herzegovina into a union of three small states. And then the disintegration of Bosnia is the only possibility.
This is the epilogue of yesterday’s submissive vassal policy of Trojka, which complains when accused of being traitors, and diligently strives every day to prove that they are not only traitors but also vassals to anti-state projects.
And finally, a riddle for the simpletons at the head of the Trojka project – By what mechanisms, tools, and policies will you, in 2025, when Čović and Dodik control the Constitutional Court of BiH, stop their decision to carry out the final act of dividing Bosnia and Herzegovina?
