How did OKI d.o.o. charge the FBiH for work it didn't even do?!

The case of Alija Muminović from Sarajevo, who claims that the private company OKI d.o.o. from Sarajevo illegally charged the Federation of BiH over 62,000 KM based on his name, will once again be reopened before the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, writes the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

Muminović accuses the construction company OKI d.o.o., whose owners are also linked to the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bakir Izetbegović, of charging the Service for Joint Affairs of the Federation of BiH over 62,000 KM 14 years ago for the renovation of his apartment at Dolina 1 street in Sarajevo, a fact he only learned about two years ago from the media.

This fraud, Muminović said, caused immense emotional distress to him and his family, while the company OKI d.o.o. illegally earned over 62,000 KM.

Damir Alagić, Alija Muminović's lawyer, confirmed to the Patria agency that Muminović will ask the State Prosecutor's Office to re-examine this case in order to determine responsibility.

In a document from the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Muminović discovered only two years ago, it states that on November 22, 2000, an amount of 62,935.77 KM was transferred from the account of the Service for Joint Affairs of the Government of FBiH to the contractor OKI d.o.o. Sarajevo, for the execution of reconstruction works on the residential building at Dolina 1 street, owned by Alija Muminović.

However, Muminović claims that he never saw that money, nor did the workers of OKI d.o.o. ever enter his apartment. He says he renovated the apartment using loan funds that he and his wife took out from the bank, for which he has valid documentation.

- The verdict of the Court of BiH shows that the company OKI d.o.o. cashed in the amount of 62,935.77 KM for the renovation of my apartment. However, I firmly state that the company OKI d.o.o. never even installed a nail in my apartment, let alone performed any renovation work – says Muminović, writes NAP.
