How SBB leader ended up in custody again: Did Radončić's experienced lawyers schedule it?

SBB leader Fahrudin Radončić remains in the custody unit of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the time being. For now, as things stand, the biggest culprits for the new situation are the lawyers representing him - Asim Crnalić, Dragan Barbarić, Vasvija Vidović (subsequently removed from the team due to her role as a witness). They charge exorbitant sums for all their services, but judging by the court decision to return him to custody, they did not provide their client with adequate legal assistance, writes the Patria news agency.

For now, it has not been established in detail how and why Radončić left the custody unit on February 17 without the presence of the very experienced Crnalić or Barbarić, who are no strangers to getting their clients out of custody, even without personal security!?

As a reminder, an unknown private individual drove Radončić to the Avaz Twist Tower, where he has his apartment on the 33rd floor where he resides.

Although Crnalić claimed before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina that a certain Danijel, an official of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, told him that Radončić had already been released at the moment he was handing over the passport, Judge Minka Kreho stated today that the same Danijel noted in his report that Radončić was released from custody only after his personal documents were handed over to him.

While Crnalić justified himself by saying that everything happened while he went to Radončić's ex-wife, it is incomprehensible that on the day of the decision he did not send his trainee or a courier to collect his client's personal documents. There was no further discussion on this issue because Crnalić also said he would not discuss it, and the judge said she would not allow such discussions in her courtroom.

Crnalić justified this outburst, which even novice lawyers would not allow themselves, by the circumstances, and when asked by a NAP reporter how it was possible that Radončić was left without proper protection despite having a powerful legal team, he said it was a game of chance and that he himself learned from a court official, and later from journalists, that Radončić had been released from custody with restrictive measures.

That Judge Kreho also found the attitude of the legal team strange was proven by her question at the end of today's hearing, when she asked Radončić the following:

- Mr. Radončić, did your legal team tell you today what could happen?

Radončić replied that his lawyers did not need to tell him and that he was aware that he could be remanded in custody again, which ultimately happened.

Given that, according to unofficial statements from the legal team, it could be concluded that they blame certain media for publishing footage of the celebration from the 31st floor (restaurant), this does not absolve them of responsibility in which they are, above all, primarily responsible for the violation of the restrictive measures, which Radončić, at least as he claims, did without premeditation and without reading the court decision he received before leaving custody.
