What a rescue drill with a six-seater chairlift on Bjelašnica looks like

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Mountain Rescue Service on Bjelašnica conducted a drill today on the technique of rescuing from vertical transport according to a scenario.

The Mountain Rescue Service - Sarajevo station received a call from the Operations and Communications Center (OKC) informing them that on Mount Bjelašnica, at the ski resort in Babin dol, there was a stoppage of vertical transport - more precisely, a six-seater chairlift, and that people remained on the chairs who need to be evacuated from them to a safe place. Immediately upon receiving the call, the station was alerted, a notification was sent for rescuers to stand by, and the duty team, which is providing security at the ski resort itself, was dispatched to the scene.

Using techniques for rescuing from vertical transport, the individuals will be safely evacuated from the chairs of the six-seater lift, transported to a warm room in the area of the Beneton target house, and handed over to emergency medical personnel for further care.
