How Čović uses the naivety of Bosniak politicians in power and opposition: Reducing Bosniaks to a reserve through a false conflict with Dodik

As time passes, our assertion that the decision not to arrest Milorad Dodik is primarily political and only then institutional is increasingly gaining ground.

We wrote that the political decision to arrest Milorad Dodik, which is clearly needed, cannot be made by the Prosecutor's Office and the police because they are not tasked with dealing with politics. Most likely, the decision not to arrest Milorad Dodik was made by those who currently represent the government on behalf of the citizens loyal to the state - Elmedin Konaković and Nermin Nikšić.

Time and the aforementioned political actors have relentlessly confirmed what was said.

We warned on our pages about the attempt to build a deceptive narrative according to which Dragan Čović is abandoning Milorad Dodik, and we emphasized that certain political circles from Sarajevo are working on this.

We pointed out that what is worrying is the fact that a good part of the so-called "Sarajevo" public, especially the public that is inclined towards the Trojka, is spreading a false impression that the HDZ and Dragan Čović are abandoning Dodik and his secessionism.

In fact, it is nothing more than another ordinary maneuver by Dragan Čović to achieve his political demands. Primarily those related to the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We also stated that it is possible to expect Čović to exploit Dodik's vulnerability and the circumstances regarding his arrest to blackmail the Bosniak partners from the Trojka by handing over the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the HDZ.

The current readiness of the Trojka to hand over the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and state sovereignty seems unquestionable.

It is no longer questionable whether Bosniaks are falling into the trap of Čović's alleged fight against Milorad Dodik, in which he can lose nothing and gain everything, since, as we have said, he will cash in by gaining the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is also not questionable whether anything will come of Milorad Dodik's arrest and that Dodik has occupied as much political space as he has, which is necessary to present new facts on the ground to foreigners and gain both freedom and even more in a political sense for Republika Srpska.

However, none of this is as worrying as the fact that Bosniaks are blindly rushing towards the day when they will have to make a crucial decision, for both Bosniaks and BiH, before they are brought into a position where Dodik and Čović take almost everything from them and reduce them to twenty percent of the territory! And all this by the will of the Bosniaks.

Can this happen? If we are to judge by the statements of Bosniak officials, both those in power (Konaković, Nikšić) and those in opposition (Izetbegović), if we are to judge by their conviction that Dragan Čović will help them in the fight against Dodik (if Dodik cannot be arrested, then at least Čović can be appeased by handing over the country), if we are to judge by all of that, then by the will of the Bosniak political elite, the reduction of Bosniaks to a reserve has already happened.

However, it remains for the (Bosniak) people to have the final say on all of this.
