Kakanj firefighters fulfill boy Ahmed's biggest wish

Kakanj firefighters were on a special mission today. They weren't extinguishing a fire, but fulfilling the biggest wish of a boy named Ahmed Hajdarević, who wanted more than anything to ride in a fire truck and hold a professional fire radio in his hands, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

The boy's parents are living in very difficult circumstances after a landslide destroyed their house in the settlement of Bare, not far from the center of Kakanj, a few months ago. In one of the shows broadcast by the local television NTV IC, the boy Ahmed said that his biggest dream was to become a firefighter, and that he would like to meet these brave people even before he grew up.

A group of Kakanj firefighters appeared in the yard of Ahmed's parents' house today. Firefighter Elvir knocked on the door first, gave the boy a radio, who then issued the order to move to the other firefighters, and then a real fire truck appeared in the yard a few moments later.

- The boy couldn't believe that the firefighters had come to visit him - said one of the boy's neighbors.

- He was ecstatic, he looked like he was dreaming - he added.

Ahmed received a cap and t-shirt from the firefighters

Ahmed's dream day didn't end with just the firefighters' visit. They took him to the Fire Station in Kakanj, where he met other firefighters and also handled professional firefighting equipment, writes Patria.
