Kajganić meets with MRMKS President Gatti Santana on processing war criminals

(Patria) - Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, Milanko Kajganić, met with the President of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (MRMKS), Graciela Gatti Santana.

Officials of the judicial institutions discussed strengthening the rule of law and processing cases of war crimes and serious violations of international humanitarian law.

The MRMKS and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH handle cases related to war crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and these two institutions have good cooperation primarily in terms of using the databases and cases of the ICTY/MRMKS, as well as exchanging experiences on international standards for prosecuting serious violations of international humanitarian law.

The goal of these institutions is the same: the fight against impunity for war crimes in BiH and the region, and bringing the rule of law and security to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was concluded at the meeting.
