Kajan: Prijedor remembers and warns, why is official Mostar silent about the white armbands intended for the Bosniaks of the city on the Neretva!

(Patria) - Why is official Mostar silent, asked the Democratic Front MP in the Federal Parliament, Sanel Kajan.

"Why is the city silent, in which, in May 1993, just like in Prijedor a year earlier, orders were issued from radio waves for Bosniaks and all those who believed in a unified Bosnia and Herzegovina to be marked – with a white armband and a white cloth on their windows?

Prijedor remembers. Prijedor does not forget. Prijedor warns.

And Mostar? Mostar is silent", Kajan stated.

Kajan asks: Why is this shameful episode of our recent history being suppressed? Why is there an attempt to erase the truth about how people in this city wanted to be marked and targeted – just because they were "different" or did not agree to divisions?"

"Are the official representatives of Mostar ignoring this truth because they are ashamed? Because they know that the white armbands and white cloths are also their shame? Let them know one thing: We do not forget. And we will not stop reminding. This painful truth is not for suppression, but for confrontation. Because only with truth can we build a dignified and just peace.

And to us, in Mostar, ominous voices from Radio Mostar, in May 1993, ordered us to tie a white armband around our arms, and to hang white sheets and cloths on our windows and balconies. Prijedor remembers, warns, and reminds of the shameful white armbands. So that it never happens again! Mostar, the official one – is silent about the white armbands and cloths in Mostar! But there are those of us who do not forget and who warn without hesitation", Kajan stated.
