
(Patria) - The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas will be on an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday.
She will visit the headquarters of EUFOR Althea at Camp Butmir, where she will be welcomed by the Mission Commander - Major General Florin-Marian Barbu.
A meeting with members of the forces deployed in BiH within this mission and an address to EUFOR personnel are announced. The mandate was extended for one year at the UN Security Council session on October 31st.
Kallas will also meet with members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Elmedin Konaković, it was announced from the EU Delegation in BiH.
The EU High Representative is coming at a time when sharp political debates are underway regarding the main negotiator of BiH with the European Union, and regarding which there is no agreement among the parties forming the government.
