When Dodik Publicly Stops Denying Genocide and the State, "Domovina" Will Talk About Supporting the RS Government

The head of the negotiating team of the "Domovina" coalition, comprising several Bosniak parties, Sadik Ahmetović, stated in an interview with the BiH news agency Patria that "Domovina" will enter into eventual agreements with Milorad Dodik regarding support for the RS Government only when he and the designate Željka Cvijanović send clear and unambiguous political messages to the public concerning three key issues.

- Let Dodik and Cvijanović publicly send political messages that they will no longer deny genocide and the state of BiH, and that discrimination in education will cease, and then "Domovina" will enter into negotiations regarding the formation of the RS Government, or rather, decide whether to be part of the parliamentary majority that will support the new government. The "Domovina" delegation did meet with Dodik for consultations, but those were only consultations for the designate, not for supporting the RS Government which is yet to be formed, says Ahmetović.

When asked if, following the messages sent by the Democratic Front, and the speculations that SDA is accepting Dodik's offer for certain ministerial positions in the RS Government, not only the "Domovina" coalition but also the agreement on forming government at the state level signed by SDA-DF and the Alliance for Change of RS is in question, Ahmetović answers:

- I am sure that the presidents of all parties that formed the "Domovina" coalition support what I have said about Dodik sending political messages, and only then will we potentially enter into discussions about participating in the RS Government. As for the SDA-DF-Alliance for Change of RS agreement, it has never been and will never be called into question.

Given that Ramiz Salkić, who was at consultations with Dodik regarding the appointment of the RS Government designate, stated publicly that he went to the RS President in agreement with the "Domovina" coordinator Vinko Jakić, we asked Ahmetović who is actually heading the coalition's negotiating team, or who is coordinating political activities on behalf of "Domovina".

- Ramiz Salkić has my mobile number and could have called me. At the last coalition meeting, a negotiating team was appointed. I was elected as the head, and Jakić is just one of the members, as each party within the coalition provided one representative - Ahmetović explained.
