When Sebija collects signatures it's democracy, but support for Dr. Gavrankapetanović is a criminal offense!?

After the dismissal of Prof. Dr. Ismet Gavrankapetanović caused an international scandal and condemnation from orthopedists across Europe and the world, the director of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, Sebija Izetbegović, does not give up on further damaging the reputation of this hospital, if it even has any left under her management, writes the Patria agency.

Some of the doctors who supported Dr. Gavrankapetanović were forced by blackmail and threats to withdraw their signatures, and from those who did not, as well as from Dr. Gavrankapetanović, she demanded explanations on the basis of what information and arguments they collected signatures and statements. Doctors were even threatened that everything would be reported to the police.

However, Director Izetbegović forgot that some time ago she was the one collecting signatures for the removal of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo, Almira Hadžović-Džuvo, and at that time it was considered the highest expression of democracy, but today it is a criminal offense!?

For days, pressure was exerted on employees of KCUS and the Faculty of Medicine (members of the NNV) to sign the request for the Dean's dismissal. At that time too, doctors and teaching staff were blackmailed and subjected to tremendous pressure to put their signatures, or else face sanctions. Obviously, the only methods that Director Izetbegović knows and uses to achieve her goals are threats and blackmail. That is why she cannot accept the fact that Dr. Gavrankapetanović's colleagues supported him out of humanitarian and undisguised motives, with the desire for a top expert to remain at the head of the Clinic he successfully led for 19 years.

Director Izetbegović's accomplice in this entire affair of withdrawing signatures and taking over the position of Clinic chief was allegedly Fikret Prevljak, an SDA representative in the Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton and a member of the SDA Presidency.

Namely, no one wanted to take that position for days until Dr. Đemil Omerović withdrew his signature. Although at first glance it seems unclear why Prevljak got involved in the whole case, it is interesting that both he and Omerović are from Konjic and have known each other for many years. Unofficial information suggests that Prevljak allegedly gave Omerović a "choice": either accept the position or leave KCUS.

Omerović was also blackmailed with the threat that cooperation between KCUS and his pharmacy Verdant would be suspended if he did not accept the position. Besides Omerović, Hadžan Konjo and Fuad Džanković also withdrew their signatures of support.
