When politics goes to the stands: Fine for Radnik due to political slogans

The Disciplinary Committee of the Football Association of BiH, chaired by Goran Kosorić, at a session held today in Sarajevo, addressed disciplinary matters within its jurisdiction and made decisions regarding fines imposed on certain clubs due to omissions, writes Patria.

Thus, for the 6th round match between Sloboda and Čelik, NK Čelik was fined 1,000 KM for the use of pyrotechnics by its own fans. Željezničar was fined 1,500 KM for organizational shortcomings in the match with Zrinjski and for the use of pyrotechnics and throwing hard objects onto the field by its own fans.

For omissions in the 7th round, HŠK Zrinjski was fined 1,000 KM, also for the use of pyrotechnics by its own fans.

Radnik will also have to pay 1,000 KM because during the match with Sarajevo, Radnik fans chanted political messages.

The situation on the fields, or rather the stands, reflects the state of the country, and nationalistic outbursts are not uncommon. The club whose fans irresponsibly deplete the club's coffers ultimately pays the price.
