When facts hit ego, and salivary glands start working: Why was Murat Tahirović attacked and who fears the truth from Prijedor!?

If critics without merit were to map out on Google Maps the paths Murat Tahirović, with the Mothers of the Srebrenica and Žepa enclaves, as well as other mothers in BiH, paved towards justice, the senselessness of the attacks on the president of the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide would be clear to them.

If they were to add Murat Tahirović's war path, his severe wounding and capture, it would be clear in which direction and from which source the attacks on Tahirović are being launched. But no. They haven't looked, nor are the paths of justice and the liberation struggle that Tahirović walked clear to them. Nor does it matter to them.

They are scientists and politicians with an inflated sense of self-importance, believing that the narrative about the fight for truth and justice must be tied to them. The fact that various charlatans and experts could only watch Tahirović's victorious battle against windmills on TV screens does not stop them from aiming their multi-barreled saliva cannons at a man they cannot fault for anything other than one manipulated slip of the tongue on a television show.

These charlatans, sitting in front of the screen and admiring their diplomas, without applying their acquired knowledge, are just waiting for an opportunity to appear and then rush into the public arena in the jerseys of ego-tripping. “Look, Murat offended the mothers of Prijedor,” shouted the first ones, and then they were joined by those who break bread with genocide deniers, adding, “immediately declare him persona non grata in Prijedor.”

And Tahirović said this: “The Mothers of Srebrenica achieved a global result, why isn't Prijedor heard of like Srebrenica. Because they did not achieve the result that the mothers of Srebrenica achieved, bravely, responsibly, with a demeanor that is admirable and exceptionally accepted, recognized, with deep respect outside the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

Therefore, Tahirović did not mention the mothers of Prijedor, but all those who dealt with the unadjudicated genocide in Prijedor and were nowhere near the results of the late Hatidža Mehmedović or Munira Subašić. However, the media outlet that first published Jasmin Medić's Facebook post, klix.ba, falsified the available video statement of Tahirović and wrote this:

However, despite the fact that the statement was falsified, Tahirović apologized to the mothers of Prijedor. And once again, he rose above the analytical spitting of those who are hit by the truth.

Jasmin Medić, a doctor of historical sciences, was hit by the fact that he manipulated into an insult to the mothers of Prijedor. And it hit him because this doctor of historical sciences deals with Prijedor mostly from Sarajevo, where he lives. And it is clear that one who is hit by the truth cannot have any other argument but to attack people who speak the truth without problems through manipulation.

Tahirović is one of them, because he did not fight for the truth from Sarajevo by writing on portals, but throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, both when he was persecuted by Serbian police and when he had to seek justice for the victims of genocide from The Hague and Brussels to New York, together with the mothers of Srebrenica.

The results in proving genocide, as well as fighting for just verdicts for other criminals, preventing their early release, and so on, are on Tahirović's side. Medić, klix, or Stav cannot manipulate that.

And while Medić, a scientist who researches history while drinking coffee in Baščaršija, and not where one has to look over their shoulder for enemies, manipulates Tahirović's statement, a Bosniak loyal to Serbs would declare Tahirović persona non grata in Prijedor.

That is Mirsad Duratović, who was part of the SNSD government in Prijedor, and today is the vice-president of NSRs and diligently cooperates with Dodik's genocide deniers, as well as Saša Grbić, who boasts about his participation in the Army of Republika Srpska and the fact that he is god-brothers with Ratko Mladić.

And he would then talk about Tahirović. Well, where were you when it was necessary to talk about the crimes of the VRS and the MUP of Republika Srpska? Where were you when it was necessary to communicate and visit the key institutions for achieving international justice countless times? Nowhere!

And it's not just Tahirović's stance on inaction in Prijedor that hurts you, but the story about action in Srebrenica. Because, while the mothers of Srebrenica were seeking justice with Tahirović, you in Prijedor had people among yourselves who fought exclusively for power. That is why today in Prijedor there is no monument to the crime of unadjudicated genocide.

And yes, in conclusion. Murat Tahirović, together with the mothers of Srebrenica, initiated the story about the Resolution when it was unimaginable and unknown to you and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The associations led by Munira Subašić and Murat Tahirović have published more books than all other associations in Bosnia and Herzegovina combined. And then Medić would call them “charlatans to whom the state poured money.”

And by coincidence, I know how many times Tahirović had to travel from Cazin to Sarajevo to secure funds for the last two events – an international conference that you who are spitting on him could not and will not organize, and the promotion of the latest book. I remember talking to him a few days before both events and I know how much effort he put into every segment of those and other projects.
Therefore, Medić, fold your diploma into a paper airplane and throw it out the window so that the children in the neighborhood can at least learn how scientists should not behave in the future. And you, Duratović, it's better to keep quiet, because while you were enriching yourself by leading Serbian politics, Tahirović was gathering information about mass graves and seeking justice for the owners of bones scattered across the country.

After all, gentlemen, if the truth hurts you, ask Christian Schmidt who are the people who initiated and brought to completion with him the idea of banning convicted criminals from participating in elections, and ask Valentin Inzko who pressured him to pass the Law on the Prohibition of Genocide Denial. Perhaps you will understand something, perhaps you will learn something. And you could learn a lot about Tahirović's struggle from Brammertz and Santana and their predecessors and those in the UN and many others… And that is just a fraction of the story about Murat Tahirović, who is not a doctor of historical sciences, but history, thanks to him, has been written with the pen of truth and justice!
