Search for men swept away by Jala River continues this morning, including a MUP TK police officer

(Patria) - Rescue teams will continue their search this morning for two men who fell into the swollen Jala River yesterday.

The search was suspended last night in Puračić near Lukavac, where the Jala flows into the Spreča, due to reduced visibility and rising river levels.

Numerous rescue teams were involved in the search, including members of mountain rescue services, volunteer fire departments, civil protection, and the Armed Forces.

Dramatic scene in Tuzla: One police officer pulled from Jala, rescue operation underway for another and the person they jumped in after!

(Patria) - A real drama unfolded today in Tuzla when a person fell into the swollen Jala River near Mercator, Faktor learns from eyewitnesses. Two police officers then entered the water in an attempt to rescue them, but they too were swept away by the swollen river.

"The search will continue tomorrow, from the settlement of Puračić towards Doboj. If bodies are not found in this area, assistance from the MUP of Republika Srpska will be requested," the MUP of Tuzla Canton (TK) announced last night.

We remind you that three police officers and one fugitive fell into the Jala River yesterday. Two police officers managed to get out of the swollen river, while the third is being searched for.
