Juniors defeated Turkey: Qualifications for the European Championship opened with a victory

The junior national team of BiH opened the qualifications for the European Championship with a 2:1 victory over Turkey in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, reports the Patria News Agency.

Coach Toni Karačić was satisfied after the match:

- The match was of high quality. The 2:1 result in our favor is deserved. The start of the match was not good because Turkey had the initiative, created pressure, and scored a goal. After the goal, we were the better team and created several good chances that we did not capitalize on in the first half. However, the guys managed to come back in the second half of the game, where after the opponent's player was sent off, we equalized the score. With good control and possession of the ball, we eventually scored another goal for the win. I congratulate the players on an excellent match. We defeated a very strong Turkey and represented our country in the best possible way - said Karačić.
