Book collection drives for the Public Library in Maglaj have been fruitful. Yesterday, the library received a valuable donation from the King Fahd Cultural Center, and today from the Association "Liber, Libertas" and the printing house from Fojnica, over 1000 books were delivered, writes the BH News Agency Patria.
Thus, the total number of donated books for the Maglaj library exceeds 6,000.
Members of this Association collected about 470 books, and the printing house "Štamparija Fojnica" joined the initiative, donating about 540 books from its reserves. In addition to books, the printing house also prepared a valuable donation of office supplies, paper, and library cards. The donation was presented by the president Semin Sudžuka and Nevres Jemendžić, librarian of the Association "Liber, Libertas".
We remind you that in the devastating floods last month, the Public Library in Maglaj was completely destroyed. The parquet flooring, equipment, and the most valuable part, around 28,000 books. As stated by director Nina Salkić, with the help of good people, life in Maglaj is returning to its previous state, writes Patria.
Otherwise, this is the only library in the Municipality of Maglaj, and it was founded in 1958.
