Anniversaries marked 2014, as well as the opening of the City Hall

Several significant anniversaries were marked in 2014, which again put BiH in the focus of world public opinion, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

In February, the 30th anniversary of the 14th Winter Olympic Games was marked, and in May, the renovated City Hall was opened. The old splendor was returned to this symbol of Sarajevo's suffering, and today generations who prepared exams there, as well as those who were not even born when it was set on fire, visit it.

Already on June 28, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra held a concert on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the start of World War I, as well as a series of other activities.

Directed by Haris Pašović, the musical-stage performance "A Century of Peace After a Century of Wars" was held at the Latin Bridge (Principov Most), featuring numerous artists from around the world.

In August, the jubilee 20th Sarajevo Film Festival was held, which once again gathered significant guests from the region and the world.

Indira Kučuk – Sorguč once again took care of a dose of laughter by creating a new play "Tako ti je mala moja kad ljubi mahalac" which has already won all the audience's sympathies. The cast led by Kučuk – Sorguč toured the world with the play "Ja, mahaluša", and in 2015, numerous trips await them because the interest in these plays does not wane, writes Patria.

On the other hand, cultural institutions of state importance are still drowning in debt and have unresolved funding, and the National Museum of BiH has been closed for more than two years.
