JP Autoceste FBiH awarded 25 scholarships to students

In the premises of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Sarajevo, a formal signing of contracts and awarding of scholarships by the Public Company Autoceste FBiH for full-time male and female students of undergraduate and postgraduate studies was held today, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

Director of JP Autoceste FBiH Ensad Karić and Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Sarajevo Prof. Dr. Narcis Behlilović presented 25 scholarships to students of faculties whose specializations are directly related to the business of JP Autoceste FBiH - civil engineering faculties, faculties of traffic and communications, electrical engineering faculties, and mechanical engineering faculties.

Based on the Rulebook on Awarding Scholarships, 15 scholarships were awarded to third-year undergraduate students, in the monthly amount of 100 KM, and ten scholarships to first and second-year postgraduate students, in the monthly amount of 300 KM.

- Our goal is to facilitate education for gifted students and provide them with an opportunity for practical work during their studies. Students are regular visitors to our construction sites, and some have gained their first work experience precisely at JP Autoceste FBiH after completing their studies - said Ensad Karić, Director of JP Autoceste FBiH.

Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Sarajevo Narcis Behlilović emphasized that JP Autoceste FBiH has shown itself to be a socially responsible company by awarding scholarships and invited other companies to follow this positive example.

Ermina Bilal, a fifth-year student at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, said that the scholarship means that someone recognizes and values our work.

- It represents financial support which is significant in this difficult and expensive student life, as well as an opportunity to gain employment at JP Autoceste FBiH.

In the past three years, JP Autoceste FBiH has invested 150,000 KM in its socially responsible program for 75 student scholarships, thus striving to retain young professionals in BiH and ensure them a better and safer future.

The scholarship awarding ceremony was attended by: Prof. Dr. Ivan Lovrić, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Mostar, on behalf of the Rectorate of the University of Sarajevo Samir Arnautović and Lutvo Haznadarević, Director of the College of Applied Sciences Logos centar in Mostar.
