Jovanović: Dodik has reduced himself to absurdity, started a war with Angelina Jolie, now also with Freeman

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - LDP leader Čedomir Jovanović, appearing on Pressing on N1 television, said he is sorry that the president of the BiH entity Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, has driven himself into a dead end.

„The Serbian people have two leaders, Dodik and Vučić. Bearing that fact in mind, he had to behave much more responsibly. I cannot say that I feel responsible for the position he has found himself in. I showed him the way when it was time. He did not want to take that path because he did not want to take on the burden of responsibility that I carried,” said Jovanović.

Regarding the observation by the editor and host of the show, Amir Zukić, that his moderate views attract great attention in BiH, especially among Bosniaks, and insults in Serbia, Jovanović said that this is because those views remind people of what the truth is.

“That policy which I speak of and which I symbolize is the only one with a perspective. If there were more humanity, there would be more such moves. I respect people and appreciate those differences, but they have never been key references for me,” said Jovanović.

As he said, the ruling elites in Serbia have largely accepted the policy for which he was demonized.

“Those are some small victories,” he stated.

“That is a reminder of something we would like to forget. It is a much bigger problem for Serbia than for Bosnia because you can live without our acknowledgment of responsibility for what happened in your lives. But we can hardly live with that sin and remain normal. That is why, in one interview where I was together with Dodik, he reduced himself to absurdity, started a war with Angelina Jolie. In the meantime, that war has spread to Morgan Freeman, who knows to whom else. These are the consequences of great weakness and inability to examine ourselves, stand on our own feet, look at where we are, define what we need to do, take responsibility, not only for what was but also for what lies ahead. That is the obligation of our generation, that is our destiny, both for you in Sarajevo and for us here in Belgrade,” said Jovanović, as reported by the Patria agency.
