Josip Brkić wants the position of MFA Secretary, HDZ strengthens its position!

(Patria) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina does not have a Secretary General, and the acting duties are performed by Sihana Čekić-Čaušević.

The announcement of a competition for this significant position is expected soon, and as Patria has unofficially confirmed, Josip Brkić, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, wants this position. Allegedly, Minister Elmedin Konaković agrees with these wishes of the HDZ!?

With his departure from the position of Deputy Minister, the vacant position would again go to an HDZ BiH official. It seems that the support he gave to Konaković since he took office as Minister, who did not spare words of praise for the Minister, has paid off for the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Josip Brkić.

Along with praise, he used every opportunity to accuse the former Minister Bisera Turković of abusing the ministry.

"Konaković and I truly act as one team. He is everything that Minister Turković was not. An inclusive, open, pragmatic, eloquent politician, who is also the president of a political party and makes decisions very quickly," Brkić said.

It is also known that since taking office as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković has taken his deputy from HDZ BiH to almost every meeting.

And, the deputy minister, as stated in the Law on the Council of Ministers of BiH, 'replaces ministers in case of their absence or inability to perform their duties'.

Also, the deputy minister has the right to make decisions at the sessions of the Council of Ministers only when the minister is absent, provided that the minister has transferred his authority to the deputy and informed the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH about it.

However, it is clear that this is not enough for Brkić, given that by potentially taking over the position of MFA Secretary, his position will be stronger and longer-lasting. HDZ BiH will be particularly strengthened, as it will control all operational processes within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH in addition to the deputy position.
