Joldić: We are taking on the role of favorites against Atletico Madrid

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The juniors of Željezničar will tomorrow, within the UEFA Youth League, host Spanish Atletico Madrid, and on that occasion a press conference was held at which the junior coach, Omer Joldić, and the captain, Amir Velić, addressed the media.

- We started preparations in December. We completed part of the preparations in Makarska, we had three quite quality matches, there are no injured players, two days ago the players who were on preparations in Turkey joined us. Atletico is a team that comes from Spain, they play quite aggressively in the midfield, we trained with the first team only today, but the guys know each other so there should be no problems - said Joldić

The coach of the team from Grbavica emphasized that his team is taking on the role of favorites in this match.

- As a coach, I truly believe in these guys and it would be good if the opening of the match goes our way, mostly because of the fans. Of course, playing at home is not an advantage when it comes to quality teams, but it is certain that Atletico's players have not played in an atmosphere like the one that will be tomorrow. I am definitely trying to take the pressure off the players, one of the segments that characterizes this generation is that they are very smart. We will take on the role of favorites.

Atletico's team has five players born in January 1999, their weak point is the defensive rebound, and we have shown that we are good in offense, we have been practicing that without these four players, so that segment is quite strong and works in our favor. We will try to apply that tomorrow - concluded Joldić.

Captain Amir Velić promised great fighting spirit on behalf of the team.

- On behalf of the team, I can say that we absolutely respect Atletico's team, but that will not be so noticeable on the field - Velić was brief.

Joldić's assistant Senad Žerić said that the juniors of the Blues will give their last ounce of strength to achieve a positive result.

- The boss said everything, just to mention, I guarantee that the guys will burn for this badge, they know how important it is, I want Grbavica to support them, I grew up in this club, I hope the guys will achieve that victory, and they will certainly give their last ounce of strength - said Žerić.

The match is played at 4 PM. Ticket prices are 5 KM for the north and east stands, 3 KM for the south side, and 10 KM for the west stand.
