Johnson on epidemic management: Great Britain tests more than other countries

(Patria) – Members of the British Parliament 'fired shots' at Prime Minister Boris Johnson with numerous questions from various fields, including the management of the coronavirus epidemic at the state level.

To a question from Labour MP Angela Rayner about citizens who do not have the opportunity to get tested for Covid-19, Johnson replied that Great Britain 'tests more than any other country'.

He presented statistics proving that Britain tests more than Germany, France, and Spain.

Johnson added that the government is 'doing exactly as it said it would', and that the goal is to conduct up to 500,000 daily tests by the end of October.

Rayner responded that around 62,000 residents are currently being tested daily.

The Prime Minister commented that there has been a 'huge surge in demand' for testing, and appealed to citizens to follow the guidelines.
